The ID that allows you access to all on-campus living, the Kiewit Fitness Center and many other “ID-only” areas is now accepted at numerous off-campus businesses.

Because of a partnership between Student Savings Club and the Creighton Students Union, students now can receive discounts from businesses in Omaha with a valid student ID card.

“This program is designed for students to save money and for companies to advertise,” said Steve McHale, CSU president. “I was contacted by a representative from the Student Savings Club and, when asked if we were interested, I said ‘yes’ because who doesn’t love saving money?”

Student Savings Club features discounts from restaurants, but also some unusual and equally vital businesses such as automotive and veterinary care.

“It really covers every aspect of students’ lives,” McHale said.
Though many businesses offer discounts, if you see a business missing that you would like to receive a discount from, e-mail your suggestion to cupres@creighton.edu and McHale will do his best to get it on the list.

Micah White, CSU vice president of Finance, said students will not have to sign up for anything or pay a registration fee.
“This is not a fundraiser by any means. We [CSU] are only interested in saving money for students and doing more things that will benefit students,” White said.

“All you have to do is show up with your ID and the discount is yours,” McHale said
